MARATHON COURSE

Note: The Marathon and ½ Marathon runners will run the same course for approximately 12 miles. The start is on 151st Street, just east of the south entrance to Garmin, facing west. Run west on 151st Street and continue over Interstate 35. Continue past the first mall entrance and turn left (south) on the main access road into Olathe Medical Center. Run south to 153rd Street and turn right (west). At the traffic circle on Frontier, veer south and then west to Lone Elm Road. Turn right (north on Lone Elm Rd. Run north on Lone Elm Rd. and turn right (east) on 151st Street. Continue east on 151st to Southpark Blvd. (mall entrance) and turn left (north). North on Southpark Blvd. and turn right (east) into the first mall parking lot entrance. Turn right on the mall parking lot perimeter road. Run counterclockwise around the mall perimeter road. Continue counterclockwise around the perimeter road to the north parking lot exit. Turn right (north) out of the exit, past the median and then turn left (west) onto the westbound lane of Southpark Blvd. Continue west-southwest on Southpark Blvd. and turn right on Frontier Lane and run north then northeast. Run east on Frontier, U-turn around the cones, then turn right (north) on Fountain Drive. Fountain Drive curves to the right (east) then runners turn left (north) on Chestnut Street and cross Old 56 Highway. Continue north on Chestnut and then turn right (east) on Oak Street. Run east then turn left (north) on Harrison Street. Turn right (east) on Sheridan Street then turn left (north) on Stevenson Street. Run north on Stevenson Street and turn right (east) on Cedar Street. Veer right on S. Lane Street and follow S. Lane south then to the east and turn left (north) on S. Ocheltree Street. Run north on Ocheltree Street and turn right (east) on Cedar St. and turn left (north on Keeler Street. From Keeler St., turn left (west) on Loula Street. Run west on Loula St. and turn right (north) on Emery Street. Run one block north and turn right (east) on Park Street. Run east on Park St. and turn right (south) on Ridgeview Rd. Turn left (east) at the traffic circle onto Sheridan Street, go under Interstate 35 and turn right (south) at the traffic circle onto Ridgeview Rd. Run south on Ridgeview Road and turn left (east) on Sheridan Bridge Lane. Run northeast on Sheridan Bridge. Before Lindenwood Drive, turn left (north) on the paved running trail. (At this point, the ½ Marathon runners will turn right (south) onto the trail).

Run north on the trail and turn right at Sheridan Street running on the sidewalk/trail, cross Lindenwood Dr. and turn left (north) on the sidewalk/trail along the east side of Lindenwood Drive. Continue north/northeast on the paved trail for approximately 6 miles (past 135th St., past 127th St., past Pflumm Rd., past Quivira Rd. and past 119th Street) U-turn around the cone and timing mat (turnaround is on the trail, south of the Lutheran Church). Run back on the same trail route to the south/southwest. Cross Sheridan Street, turn right (west) across Lindenwood Dr. then left (south) on the paved trail. Continue south on the trail approximately 1 mile (passing the previous turnoff near mile 12) and turn right (west) on the trail/sidewalk along 151st Street. Run west and turn right (north) at the first entrance into Olathe South High School parking lot. Run north in the driveway and into the parking lot. At the north-end of the parking lot, turn left (west) around the cones. Run west in the parking lot and driveway then across Ridgeview Road to the finish.

HALF-MARATHON COURSE

Turn left (east) at the traffic circle onto Sheridan Street, go under Interstate 35 and turn right (south) at the traffic circle onto Ridgeview Rd. Run south on Ridgeview Road and turn left (east) on Sheridan Bridge Lane. Run northeast on Sheridan Bridge. Before Lindenwood Drive, turn right (south) on the paved running trail. (At this point, the Marathon runners will turn left onto the trail). Run south on the trail (parallel to Lindenwood Drive) and turn right (west) on the trail/sidewalk along 151st Street. Run west and turn right (north) at the first entrance into Olathe South High School parking lot. Run north in the driveway and into the parking lot. At the north-end of the parking lot turn left (west) around the cones and continue west. Run west in the parking and driveway then across Ridgeview Road to the finish.

Start in the east Garmin parking lot driveway near Ridgeview Rd., running east. Turn left (north) on Ridgeview Rd. Run north two blocks and turn right (east) on Sheridan Bridge Road. At the bottom of the hill, turn left (north) on Winterbrooke Drive. Run north on Winterbrooke Drive and turn left (west) for a short “out and back” on E. Stratford Road. Turn left (north) on Winterbrooke Drive and turn right on Sheridan Street (or right on the sidewalk along the south side of Sheridan) run east ½ block and just east of the creek, turn right (south) on the paved running trail. Run south on the trail (parallel to Lindenwood Drive) for approximately one mile and turn right (west) on the trail/sidewalk along 151st Street. Run west and turn right (north) at the first entrance into Olathe South High School parking lot. Run north in the driveway and into the parking lot. At the north-end of the parking lot turn left (west) around the cones and continue west. Run west in the parking and driveway then across Ridgeview Road to the finish.
