The Olathe Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking
a Director for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Convention
& Visitors Bureau.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Plan and execute tourism sales efforts in promoting the
City of Olathe as a visitor destination. Develop and implement
the Olathe Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors
Bureau strategic marketing plan and programs. Ensure that
goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with
prescribed priorities, time limitation, and funding conditions.
Oversee CVB advertising, PR and promotion strategies and
programs. Manage staff of two sales managers. Will interact
with key community, government, and hospitality leaders
to represent the tourism industry and demonstrate its positive
impact on the area.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis in public relations,
marketing, communications, or related field. Tourism industry
or marketing experience w/ progressive management positions
preferred. Strong organizational and project coordination
experience, creativity, comprehensive knowledge of tourism
industry, advertising writing ability, strong communications
skills, budget management, proven leadership, supervision
and multi-tasking orientation.
