Olathe District Schools continues to be recognized by educators and national publications as one of the best districts in the nation. The district's record speaks for itself. Fifteen of the district's schools have been designated National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education; two schools are repeat winners. Numerous state and national awards have been bestowed upon the district, including a Kansas Award for Excellence for following the Malcolm Baldrige principles, and eleven consecutive "What Parents Want" awards from SchoolMatch. Despite the district's tremendous growth averaging 650 new students per year since 1990, Olathe District Schools has been able to maintain a student/teacher ratio of 16.5/1. With nearly 25,000 students, Olathe is ranked the third largest school district in Kansas, with a graduation rate in the 90th percentile. There are currently 31 elementary schools, eight junior high schools, and four senior high schools in the district. In addition, Olathe is home to Heartland Learning Center, Head Start, and the Millcreek Center. List of Web Sites for each of the schools See an online District Map!
